We are so glad that you're here!! Please take some time to begin to acquaint yourself to us! Together we make up Willow Emotional & Relational Health, LLC! Here is a little about each of us!
Hello, I am Nicole!
I have turned the corner on my 16th year in private practice as a Marriage & Family Therapist. I've had the great honor of sitting across from so many people who have bravely decided to roll their sleeves up and dig into some of the most difficult territory this life throws our way! It's certainly not always the most pleasurable journey that we take together in the therapy room, and I sometimes don't know where to go any better than my clients do!.. but I'm there in it, shoulder to shoulder, because none of us should have to feel alone as we navigate this thing we call life!
Often times I am asked if I am a "Christian Counselor." To that I respond, "I am a therapist who is a Christian, undeservingly saved by God's grace and mercy alone! My professional licensure, however, is in Marriage & Family Therapy, not in Christian Counseling." Each client system is different in all kinds of ways, and whether or not ones own spiritual beliefs are brought into the therapy room is up to each individual.

I believe that within us all is a sacrosanct desire to be seen and understood; to know that despite our shortcomings, we are worthy of love and belonging. As a therapist, I strive to provide a deep sense of understanding and empathy, an intentionally non-judgmental presence, and a healthy dose of humor. Above all, I value authenticity. I believe that when we are our most authentic selves, we create a sense of safety for others to be the same. In my therapy room, you will know that can share your whole story and whole self without fear of judgment and trust that together we will find a path forward that is authentic to you.

My name is Katie! I believe that our life experiences shape how we relate to ourselves and others. Many of the ways we respond today began as adaptive strategies—ways of protecting ourselves frompast pain. In our work together, my goal is to help you deepen your understanding of these patternswhile cultivating compassion and appreciation for all parts of yourself.I view therapy as a collaborative process. You are in the driver’s seat, and I am there to support, guide, and offer direction along the way. Together, we will explore your inner experiences, strengthenemotional awareness, and create space for meaningful growth and lasting change.I strive to meet you where you are, creating a therapeutic environment that feels supportive, respectful, and attuned to your unique needs. I look forward to getting to know you and walking alongside you inthis journey.

Marriage & Family Therapist

I am a wife, a mother and a friend who enjoys the simplicity of farm life. My days are filled with family, community and real moments that remind me how beautifully messy and meaningful life can be.
Living life in its many seasons has shaped how I show up as a therapist. I believe every person is carrying a story and behind every emotion is a need to be seen, heard and understood. I offer a warm, safe and non judgmental space where you can slow down and show up exactly as you are.
Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck or simply carry more than they were meant to carry alone. Life moves quickly and stress, trauma and emotional weight can build over time. Our minds and bodies are deeply connected and often hold onto experiences we have not had the space to process.
My role is to help you explore what feels heavy, build awareness and develop tools that support healing and meaningful change. You do not have to figure this out on your own. I would be honored to support you in that process.

Life can be challenging, and no one should feel alone in their battles. Regardless of the issue, it helps to have someone that you can be open, honest, and trust with these struggles. In my therapy room, I strive to make everyone feel seen, heard, and validated in their experiences. I believe that every person deserves to know that
they are enough and that they are worthy of happiness. If you are struggling with something and want to make a change in your life, I invite you to step into this space with me, and let's work together to help you achieve the goals you have for your life.

Life can be full with friends, family, and work you care about—and still leave you feeling disconnected and wondering where you fit within it all. I know what it’s like to build a career, raise a family and spend years keeping a busy life moving. You may feel like you’re holding everything together on the outside while quietly feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or just not quite like yourself.
In my own life, yoga, meditation, gardening and cooking help me slow down, feel grounded and enjoy meaningful time with friends and family.
I bring empathy, compassion, critical thinking and a well-timed sense of humor to my work. I want my office to feel like a place where you can comfortably settle in, feel at ease and be fully yourself. No matter what you’re struggling with, you are welcome in my therapy office.

After graduating from KU with my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Social Work, I have been practicing as a mental health therapist for over a decade. I enjoy meeting and working with folks in all age ranges and enjoy working with individuals, families, and couples. I believe in the wholeness of all people, and my work aims to help folks re-connect with their true selves while helping discover ways to navigate difficulties in order to really thrive. I live in Baldwin City with my husband, three kids, dog, and chickens. Some of my favorite things include being in nature, any and all Italian food, crossword puzzles, and reading.
